KDV Engineering is an owner-managed engineering company that was established by Kevin Ashwin in 1999 and has expanded progressively to the exceptional company it is today. Kevin has 37 years of experience in the engineering field and ensures that he is “hands-on” with all work produced by the company. The company is well situated in Springs on the East Rand, Johannesburg, which is easily accessible from the N12 Witbank Highway, making delivery and collection trouble-free.
KDV Engineering has developed a diverse engineering portfolio over the past 37 years – designing and manufacturing a variety of engineering components and parts to the customer’s specification on the latest equipment, machinery, and the latest laser cutting facilities available. KDV Engineering has four CNC turning lathes including a recently acquired new Litz Hi-Tech CNC turning center enabling the company to produce even higher quality CNC products. We have now 6 CNC lathes the LItz. 2 good ways, aTakang, Victor, and Doosan, we run 24/7 and take 1 weekend off per month, our main work is mining components for rock/roof anchors, All products leaving the workshop are personally scrutinized and inspected by our Quality Control Department to ensure quality and precision of all components and parts leaving our premises.

We manufacture and machine all types of engineering components ranging from bolts, bushes, pulleys, various mine components to car and machine parts. All general turning and milling, MIG & TIG welding and mandrel pipe bending is also undertaken. No
quantity is too small or too large. Each job is individually quoted on and our pricing structure is comparable and kept to a minimum due to our low over-head costs.
Our employees are all qualified and/or have sound experience in the engineering
field. We have an in-house CAD (Computer Aided Design) (Solid Works) team to
complete any necessary drawing required by our customers. KDV Engineering customers spread across the entire engineering spectrum of Southern Africa. We have undertaken engineering work for the following companies – Transvaal Electrical, ACTOM Transformers, Kwikot, Heat Transfer Eng, SAB, EAC, Geser Company, Harrack Air Conditioning, Verma Tools, Fluidex, Alstom High Voltage, Rovos Rail ,CONAX manufacturing FABCHEM, CME , Element 6 , to name but a few. (90% of our customers supply their steel so we have no need for steel accounts, all tooling is paid net, maintaining low overheads, and minimizers the chance of big steel bills if customers default on payments.
We are compliant with safety critical components and all work has inspection sheets and tractability numbers. We also manufacture for the mining industry, rock bolts and roof anchors. Through the accomplishment of developing G-Force Products (t/a G-Force Buggies) in 2007, the company also undertake the design and manufacture of offroad
recreational and racing buggies suitable for corporate days, racing and security patrol (rapid deployment vehicle), all buggy parts and spares are also manufactured.
